The first RYO chainrings were released in 2018, but most people know the brand because over the last two seasons the designer and owner of the brand Jan Capek, an award winning Czech industrial designer with a love for (bmx) bikes, was present at most Euro races. Jan designs, machines, assembles, packs all chainrings and cogs himself. So you shouldn’t worry about quality as each component goes through Jan’s hands and follows a meticulous quality proces.
When the first chainrings were made in 2018, they did not have the pressed in stainless steel inserts, but over the years Jan kept perfecting the design of his chainring to where they are now.
And then it was time for another specimen of his ingenuity: the cog. The last factor that made for smooth spinning. So last year saw the first examples of his next step into creating a flawless chainline on your bike: RYO components stainless steel cogs for Shimano, Sniper and Onyx SS drivers.
With the addition of these cogs you are now able to have your chain run as smooth as butter. And because both the chainring and the cog are precision CNC machined out of durable materials, they will last longer than other chainrings and cogs, so they are worth every Euro.

The RYO Components chainrings are made of 7075 aluminium, the T651 in the name refers to the heat treatment it’s had. 7075-T651 aluminum alloy is a high-strength material commonly used in the aerospace and automotive industries. It has great mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength and good fatigue strength.
The chainrings feature indestructible, permanently pressed-in stainless steel inserts for hassle fee mounting and super precise centering on the cranks. Custom high tooth profile for no dropped chains. Proprietary nature inspired design that mimics the way bio-structures deal with forces in the most efficient way, so your chainring is light and strong.
The use of advanced 3-5 degree control point splines with curvature continuity instead of simple lines and basic radiuses, creates a super smooth silhouette and allows for further transfer of maximum energy to the back wheel.
